From Passion to Profession:
The Journey of Our Eggless Baking Business
Baking has always been a cherished part of my life, with a special focus on eggless
cakes. This passion started at home and was fueled by a desire to create and savor delightful
treats. One of my earliest baking projects was a Mickey Mouse-themed cake I made at the
age of 15, which ignited my lifelong enthusiasm for baking. In 2012, inspired by my niece’s
suggestion during a brownie tasting session, I decided to transform my passion into a
business. With a modest investment from my personal savings, we launched our first baking
workshop on August 25, 2012. The response was overwhelmingly positive, leading to a rapid
expansion of our workshops and orders. By April 2013, we were hosting three fully-booked
workshops each week.
A major milestone in our journey occurred in December 2014 when we secured our first large
corporate order for 800 pirate-themed cookies for an event in Nasik. This success was
followed by a significant opportunity in April 2015: baking a birthday cake for renowned
Chef Sanjeev Kapoor. The cake garnered over 9,000 likes on his Facebook page and received
glowing reviews from the chef himself. Our reputation continued to grow with a notable
tasting session alongside food critic Rashmi Uday Singh in August 2016, leading to a feature
in the Times Good Food Guide. Since then, we have had the privilege of working with
esteemed clients such as Boat, Sas Technologies, and others.
One of our most remarkable achievements was fulfilling a substantial order of 4,000
cupcakes for an American Multinational Technology Company opening in Mumbai. We were
also honored to be regular vendors for Team Mutual, a key partner of Tata AIA, delivering
145 cakes in a single day in January 2021. Additionally, our client base includes caterers who
outsource their dessert needs to us, further expanding our reach. Our dedicated team of four
baking assistants ensures that every creation meets our high standards of quality.
From a childhood dream to a thriving business, our journey has been extraordinary. Each
milestone is a testament to our passion for baking and the support of our wonderful clients.
Get to Know the Artisan Behind
Our Delectable Creations
Sunita Gupta is a commerce graduate with a huge passion for baking. What started
as a childhood love for eating cake, along with an inborn talent for creativity, led her to the
bakery business much later in life. The early years of experimenting in the kitchen were
supported by her mother, aunt, and sisters, and inspired by Tarla Dalal's books.
Growing up in
Kolkata, her annual expeditions to the Kolkata Book Fair resulted in a huge collection of
baking and cake decoration books. Very few people in the world get to convert childhood
dreams into a lucrative business, and Sunita did just that!
